Terms of Use
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply when you use the Quoty mobile application, the web dashboard at quoty.com.au, and any related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Quoty ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Quoty
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@quoty.com.au.
2. Your data
You retain ownership of the data you enter into Quoty — including customer records, quotes, line items, expenses, photos, signatures, and company details. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you (for example, syncing between your devices, generating PDFs, and powering the customer accept page).
How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your obligations
You agree that you will not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- upload or share content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or other users' accounts;
- use the Service to send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited communications; or
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service (or any part of it) without our written permission.
4. Customer data and privacy laws
If you store personal information about your customers in Quoty (such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, or addresses), you are responsible for complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (or equivalent laws in your jurisdiction). This includes obtaining any necessary consents and handling access or correction requests from your customers.
5. Third‑party integrations
Quoty integrates with third‑party services such as Xero and Supabase. When you connect your Xero organisation or use other integrations, you are also bound by the relevant third party's terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of those third‑party services.
6. Fees and billing
Quoty is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans or pricing in the future. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice before any charges apply, and you may choose to stop using the Service at any time.
7. Availability
We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error‑free. We may suspend access for scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. The Quoty mobile app is designed to work offline; cloud sync depends on your internet connection and our backend services.
8. Intellectual property
The Quoty name, logo, app design, website, and underlying code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or reverse‑engineer any part of the Service except as permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law (including the Australian Consumer Law), Quoty and its operators are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of the Service — including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited (at our option) to resupplying the Service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
10. Termination
You may stop using Quoty at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, or if your account remains inactive for an extended period. Upon termination your right to access the Service ends. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via the Service. Continuing to use Quoty after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
